    Serial to LoRa radio link for RS232 and RS485 devices.

    The PUSR USR-LG206-H-P (SKU 13532) is a half-duplex serial-to-LoRa converter that uses the LoRa point-to-point protocol. It sends and receives data through its RS232 or RS485 serial port and supports one-to-one and one-to-many communication. The ‘-H’ model works in the 803–930 MHz band.

    Three ways to move serial data over LoRa.

    01

    Transparent transmission

    Data content is not altered. Two devices exchange data without any transport protocol when they use the same rate level, channel and destination address (or the broadcast address).

    Fixed-point transmitting

    The first two bytes of the data set the destination address and the third byte the channel, so the destination can change from one transmission to the next.

    Broadcast and AT commands

    Destination address 65535 broadcasts to all units on the same channel and rate. AT command mode sets all parameters through the serial port.

    Rate, channel and power

    Ten LoRa air-rate levels from 268 bps to 21,875 bps, channels 0–127, transmit power 10–20 dBm, optional forward error correction for more stable transmission at a lower rate.

    Data encryption

    Data is encrypted during transmission. The key is set by AT command and cannot be read back.

    Electrical protection

    ESD protection, power-supply anti-surge, RS485 anti-surge and a hardware watchdog.

    Link test and power modes

    RSSI and SNR indication helps judge link quality. Run mode receives continuously; wake-up mode adds a wake-up code before each transmission.

    The manual lists two models: USR-LG206-L-P (398–525 MHz) and USR-LG206-H-P (803–930 MHz). This product is the -H-P model.
