Hygienic tank weighing
Stainless weighing modules go under each leg of a tank, hopper or skid. They are self-aligning, sealed for washdown and free of crevices where product can collect, so the vessel is weighed in place and cleaned in place with nothing to take apart.

Wash-proof control and integration
Programmable IP69K controllers run filling and bagging from inside the wet zone and send weight and counts to your PLC over 4–20 mA, RS-485 Modbus or Ethernet. The control head takes the hose, so it can sit where the operator works instead of in a dry cabinet down the hall.

Sealing an existing scale
Most washdown scales fail at the junction box: a painted or poorly sealed box lets moisture into the terminals and the reading drifts or dies. We replace it with a stainless box with potted terminals and sealed glands, plus cables and an indicator to match, and the scale goes back into service without a rebuild.

What washdown has to mean
Not splash-resistant: sealed against a high-pressure, high-temperature hose hitting it every shift. Stainless construction, the right ingress rating, potted connections and drainage geometry, all the way down the chain.

- Sealed against close-range water jets at high pressure (up to about 100 bar) and high temperature (about 80 °C). It is the rating written for daily sanitation, not rain.

Questions buyers ask
What's the difference between IP67, IP69K and washdown?
IP67 means sealed against temporary immersion, which suits splash zones. IP69K is the highest rating: sealed against high-pressure, high-temperature close-range water jets, written for the kind of daily sanitation hose-down a food plant runs. Washdown on its own isn't a standard, so we specify to the ingress rating you actually need.
304 or 316 stainless: which do I need?
304 stainless handles most washdown duty. 316 adds molybdenum for better resistance to chlorides and aggressive caustic or acid cleaners, so it's the choice for harsh sanitation chemistry or coastal and saline environments. Tell us the cleaners you run and we specify the right grade for the enclosure and cells.
Will it hold up to caustic clean-in-place, not just water?
Yes, when the whole chain is specified for it. Stainless construction, IP69K sealing, potted junctions and drainage geometry are built to take the caustic clean-in-place cycle, not just a rinse. The failure is usually one link that wasn't specified for it, such as a painted box or a cheap gland, and that's what we design out.
My scale keeps failing at the junction box. Why?
Because the junction is the link most scales skimp on. A painted or poorly sealed summing box lets moisture into the terminals, and the readings drift or die even when the cells and indicator are rated. We fit stainless boxes with potted terminals and sealed glands, so moisture stays out of the connection too.
Can I get checkweighing and fill control in washdown too?
Yes. Our stainless checkweighers come in IP67 and IP69K versions, and Systec and WeightechUSA fill and bagging controllers work on the wet side, so checkweighing and net-weight filling can both live on a line that gets hosed down between runs.
